1. Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Open to Saudi nationals or residents of Saudi Arabia.
- Age: Applicants must be between 15 and 17 years old at the time of application. Applicants who do not meet the specified age eligibility requirements for participation CAN and WILL be refused entry to the program. In such cases, NO refund will be issued.
- School Approval: Participants must obtain approval from their school to miss one week of school during the program. Participants will receive an official letter from KAUST and Starlight Education for school authorization after acceptance.
2. Application Process
- Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of 375 SAR is required to submit an application. This fee covers administrative costs and will not be refunded for any reason, including disqualification based on age, English proficiency, or failure to meet eligibility criteria.
- Application Review: All applicants will be assessed. Only those who meet the criteria will be selected to participate.
3. Program Participation
- Program Duration: The program will take place during term time. Participants must attend the full duration of the program and ensure school approval for the time missed.
- Regional Competitions: Participants will compete in regional competitions, and the top three teams from each region will advance to the Grand Finale at KAUST.
- Grand Finale: The Grand Finale will be held at KAUST from July 27-29, 2025. Travel, accommodation, meals, and airport transfers for winning teams and their mentors will be provided by Starlight Education.
4. Travel and Accommodation
- Included for the Grand Finale: Winning teams will receive return flights, accommodation, meals, and airport transfers to KAUST.
- Travel Documents: Participants are responsible for ensuring they have valid identification and all necessary travel documents. KAUST and Starlight Education are not responsible for travel document issues.
5. Media and Photography
- By participating in the Saudi Space Program, participants consent to media coverage and photography during the event. These materials may be used for promotional purposes by Starlight Education and KAUST.
- Any media representations must credit both Starlight Education and KAUST as official providers.
6. Conduct and Behavior
- Participants must adhere to professional and respectful conduct throughout the program. Inappropriate behavior may result in immediate removal from the program without refund.
- Starlight Education reserves the right to remove any participant from the program for failure to comply with the rules and regulations.
7. Program Changes and Cancellations
- Starlight Education reserves the right to modify the program schedule, structure, or location as necessary. Participants will be notified in advance of any significant changes.
- In the event of program changes or cancellation, participants will not be entitled to a refund of the application fee.
8. Liability and Safety
- Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their belongings during the program. Starlight Education and KAUST are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage.
- Participants should exercise caution and take necessary safety measures during the program.
9. Refund Policy
- The 375 SAR application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal, disqualification, or failure to meet eligibility criteria.

11. Additional Program Details
- Certificates and Completion: Upon successful participation, participants will receive a certificate of completion from the program organizers.
- Health and Medical: On-site medical assistance and first-aid support will be available during the program.
- Dietary Needs: Participants with specific dietary restrictions must inform the organizers during the application process, and reasonable accommodations will be made where possible.
- Guest Speakers: The program will feature guest speakers and industry experts in space exploration and STEM fields.
12. Program Costs
- Travel and accommodation for winning teams to attend the Grand Finale at KAUST will be covered by Starlight Education. Additional costs not mentioned in sections (3.) & (4.) are the sole responsibility of the participants.
