Who is Eligible?

The Mission Mars program is open exclusively to Saudi nationals and residents aged 15 to 17. This exciting opportunity is designed for students with a passion for space, science, and innovation.

IMPORTANT

Please note that the Mission Mars program will take place during term time.
If selected, students will need to miss one week of school.
We strongly encourage you to check with your school administration prior to applying to ensure that you are able to participate.
Once accepted onto the program you will automatically receive an official letter to provide to your school for approval and support

Complete the mandatory one-way video interview to successfully submit application for judging

All the applicants will be informed the final selection result on/before 15th May 2025

1: All teams compete in the 3 regional competitions

2: Winning teams are chosen from each location and sent with their mentor to KAUST for the Grand Finale

3: The Saudi Champion team is awarded at KAUST.

Terms and Conditions

To participate in the Saudi Space Program, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Must be a Saudi national and resident.
Must be aged between 14 and 17 years old at the time of application.
Must demonstrate sufficient English language proficiency as required by the program. If the applicant’s English ability does not meet the standards specified in the assessment test, their application will be refused, and they will not be allowed to participate in the program.

A non-refundable application fee of 375 SAR is required to submit an application to the program. This fee covers administrative costs and will not be refunded under any circumstances, including withdrawal from the program or failure to meet eligibility criteria.

As the program will be conducted in English, all applicants must have language proficiency.

Selected participants are required to attend the full duration of the program, which may take place during regular school terms. Participants must ensure that they obtain approval from their school to miss any required days of attendance. Once accepted, a formal letter from KAUST and Starlight Education will be provided to participants to present to their schools for authorization.

The winning 3 teams from each of the regional events will be provided travel arrangements, along with their mentor, to KAUST to compete in the final round of the competition. Starlight Education will cover travel and accommodation costs. Participants must hold valid identification and any required travel documents.

By participating in the program, participants agree to allow media coverage and photographs to be taken during the event. Starlight Education and the Client must both be named as official providers in any media representation. Additionally, both parties must be contacted for quotes where relevant.

Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the program. Any behavior deemed inappropriate by the organizers may result in immediate removal from the program without refund or recourse.

Starlight Education reserves the right to make changes to the program schedule, structure, or location if necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes in advance.

Starlight Education and KAUST are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage that may occur during participation in the program. Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their belongings.
